The Challenge

Job seekers weren’t failing due to skill gaps. They were overwhelmed by a chaotic system. Applications scattered across emails, spreadsheets, job boards, and DMs. Missed follow-ups. No oversight. No clarity. The problem wasn’t effort. It was the lack of structure.

Through interviews and journey mapping, three core insights emerged:

1. People lose opportunities because they forget to follow up.

2. Tracking applications in multiple places creates confusion and errors.

3. Lack of visibility leads to stress, doubt, and declining motivation.

These insights formed the foundation of the product direction.

My Approach

Co-founded and led product and UX strategy. Designed a centralized system for application tracking, preparation, and confidence-building. Focused on emotional design as well as functional clarity.

Impact: Designed for Calm and Control

Job search tools often feel stressful, and Mila had to feel the opposite.

Reduced user stress and improved job search organization. Early feedback showed 45% improvement in perceived job search control.

Business Outcomes

Validated strong problem market fit with clear monetization and expansion opportunities.

High onboarding completion, strong usability ratings, and a rapidly growing waitlist confirmed that Mila addresses one of the most overlooked challenges in job seeking.
